Brand partnerships are a common part of the video game industry, whether it’s Halo and Nerf or Call of Duty and Doritos. PUBG is no stranger to these types of partnerships, either. PUBG Mobile has partnered with Butterfingers, PUBG: New State partnered with Slice to support local pizza restaurants, and now PUBG: Battlegrounds has an exciting new partnership, too. Kraton confirmed recently that PUBG: Battlegrounds is partnering with Hot Pockets to offer players a chance at an exclusive skin.
Through July 31, 15 million Hot Pocket frozen sandwich packages will be adorned with a special PUBG: Battlegrounds branding. Fans just need to look for PUBG‘s mascot, the white dress shirt and skinny necktie with a tier 3 helmet, on the corner of a box of Hot Pockets. Purchasing these special PUBG: Battlegrounds Hot Pockets boxes will allow players to earn a set of unique Hot Pockets-themed gear that can be worn while playing the battle royale.
Altogether there are five different PUBG: Battlegrounds cosmetics to acquire, so players that want to earn the full set will have to purchase at least five Hot Pockets products. The codes aren’t inside the box, however. In order to get a code, PUBG: Battlegrounds players will have to save their receipt and then upload it to a special Hot Pockets website. Hot Pockets will then verify the authenticity of the purchase and deliver the code to the buyer’s provided email address.
Before PUBG: Battlegrounds players go out and buy five boxes of the same kind of Hot Pockets, they should know that there are a range of Hot Pockets products included in the promotional event. That includes Crispy Crust Hickory Ham & Cheddar Hot Pockets and their Croissant Crust variants, as well as the Philly Steak & Cheese Hot Pockets products. Hot Pockets fans likely know exactly what they want already, but it’s good to change things up sometimes.
The cosmetics that players can earn are exactly what should be expected from a Hot Pockets partnership. Put together, they look like a red motorcycle suit, replete with motorcycle helmet, that’s been smeared with cheesy goo. PUBG: Battlegrounds players can eat Hot Pockets in order to become a Hot Pocket.
As noted, this is a limited-time offer, so PUBG: Battlegrounds players shouldn’t wait if they’re interested in the Hot Pockets PUBG cosmetics. Receipts must be submitted within 30 days of purchase and the special event ends on July 31. That’s not much time, but probably more than enough for PUBG: Battlegrounds players to figure out whether they want to buy five boxes of Hot Pockets or not.
PUBG: Battlegrounds is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
